An overhead projector installation with 10″x8″ transparency, lighting gel and motorised fan.

A crisp projection of a Scottish loch with a mirror-like surface is interrupted by two pink triangles in the top corners. One of these triangles is static whilst the other gently shakes causing one’s eyes to shift focus away from the illusionary space to become aware of this foreground distraction. When viewing the images source, the 10×8 slide on the OHP, it is clear that the static triangle was a piece of pink plastic (lighting gel) disrupting the image when it was taken and this gel is now vibrating in situ at the same position to the photograph as it was to the camera lens. Now and Then explores time and space and the reciprocal passage of light.
